Ezo Red Fox

The Ezo Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes schrencki) is a subspecies of Red Fox endemic to Hokkaido and the disputed Kuril islands. It is larger than the foxes of the Japanese mainland, and has black ears and limbs. This one made repeated trips to the stream of the Blakiston's Fish Owls and eventually was successful in catching a fish to eat.
